Art Doll Quarterly Aug, Sept, Oct Issue Flip

Hello again - it's started raining here in NY - so how about a magazine flip to while away the afternoon?  I love this magazine and I hope it fills you with inspiration!  Have a beautiful and creative day.

Happy Monday - Sept. 18th! More stitching fun -

It's a great day here in upstate New York - it's been very warm again the last few days and soon it will change again - something that is a certainty here in an area that can get colder than Alaska some days.

I'm posting a new find - one that I'm joining and am pretty excited about.  It's a crochet or knit along that Joann's is sponsoring - and it's being hosted by YouTube Creators!  (Why is cross stitching not represented I'm wondering?  Hmmm?

Crochet is being hosted by Mikey of The Crochet Crowd and Knit is being hosted by Kristen Mangus of Good Knit Kisses.  I've been subscribed to both for years and each of them make their respective craft easy to understand and to follow along.  Here is the link to the Facebook page - Clue Number One is available today!

http://www.joann.com/mystery-stitch-along/

There is #HandmadewithJoann for the event - all of the information is available from the link above.  I hope you decide to join.

I can be pretty bad at keeping up - but I have good intentions and will be picking up my crochet hook again.  This will be a "stitch from stash" for me - Goodness knows I have more than my share of yarns collected.  Looking forward to seeing many friends there.

Thanks for visiting and as always - Be Colorful!
God Bless,
Kelly

July 23 - Oh what a beautiful day!

Good morning!  I went for a walk this morning - with Rowdy and my coffee.  It's a gorgeous, upstate NY kind of day - sunny and bright with a slight hint of humidity that you just can't get away from.  I'm trying to start a new normal for me - time to change up my life a little.  More adventure, exercise and fun activity.  I don't want to wait on anyone else - especially my children - I just want to go and be free - inside and out.  Do you ever feel like that?  My feeling has always been that we are only responsible for our own happiness - and in being happy it helps others around us to be happy.  (But they, in turn, are responsible for being happy themselves.)

This is a crafting blog and a personal blog.  If you stumble upon it and stay to visit - thank you.  I make things that make me smile - period.  I haven't sold a lot - but then I haven't tried very hard.  If you see something you like just let me know - that always makes me smile too.

These are just a few pictures I took while on my morning walk.  I love Blogger because it lets me upload directly from my phone (Samsung Galaxy 7) without any other connections - just wifi and boom...

Town of Jackson, Cambridge, NY

View to the mountains - toward Vermont -
only about 8 miles from here...

Rowdy - a beautiful English Shepherd
one of four dogs I am responsible for - I don't say own because they are living things -
I have the honor of caring for her.

I will be updating more often now and hopefully provide things that will also make you smile.

Until next post - take care and be well.  Live happy.

Disney Junk Journal received from Jana February 2017

I have been so lucky in my crafting career - more blessed than I could ever tell you - and I would be sorely limited by words.  This journal is a wonderful example of one such blessing.  I received this journal in a swap on Junk Journal Junkies from a very talented craftswoman named Jana Miranda.  This journal is beautiful and will be treasured forever.  Thank you for stopping by and for watching.  Peace!
